Welcome rodeo fans to the 118th Cattlemen’s Days! My name is Catherine Washburn, daughter of Jan and Doug Washburn and sister to Porter. I am eighteen and will be a freshman at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the fall. I graduated from Crested Butte Community School this spring. I am part of the sixth generation of Spanns to live in the Gunnison Valley. This year marks my tenth year in 4H and I am an active member of the Junior Colorado Cattlemen’s Association. I am so grateful for the support of my family and this community in pursuing my passions. Without the help of many sponsors, this last year would not have been possible. I invite you all to kick up your feet and enjoy your time at the rodeo here in Gunnison!
Hi everyone! Welcome to the 118th Cattlemen’s Days. My name is Abby Rourke. I am the daughter of Kevin and Chris Rourke and sister to Shaughn. I’m an active member of the Future Fitters 4-H Club — I’ve been a member for six years and enjoy riding both English and Western and showing in showmanship. I also participate in the Bad Girls Barrel Club. This fall I will be a freshman at Gunnison High School, but before then I will be spending as much time riding, attending horse shows and spending time in the barn. Thank you to all the sponsors and all the wonderful volunteers that make this event possible. I’m looking forward to seeing you at the oldest professional rodeo in Colorado.
Thank you to Crown and Buckle Sponsor Ivy McNulty of IM Silver.
