President For
2011

Welcome to the 111th anniversary of the Cattlemen's Days Rodeo; Colorado's oldest rodeo.  This event draws people from all over Colorado and the country, and is a major economic factor in our area's summer business.  Currently Gunnison is ranked 128th out of 710 rodeos in the nation and 7th out of 47 rodeos in Colorado.

Cattlemen's Days is one of the top 101 western events in the
country for 2011 as recognized by American Cowboy magazine. In their "Best of the West" section an arena photo of Cattlemen's Days adorns the page with the caption "Founded in Gunnison in 1900, Cattlemen's Days, July 14-16, is the Oldest Rodeo Celebration in Colorado".

Cattlemen's Days volunteers annually support this county celebration.  Visitors, reunions, weddings, 4H livestock auctions, horse shows, horse racing and PRCA rodeo all help to kick start the summer's economy.  Cattlemen's Days annually reminds us of our ranching and colorful western history with a celebration of past, present and future.

Gunnison County Cattlemen's Days Tough Enough to Wear Pink PRCA rodeo ranked as  the #1 breast cancer fund raising rodeo in the industry having raised over $560,000 in five years.  Because of this, your Cattlemen's Days TETWP rodeo was featured in a full-page article in the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) Program, reaching an audience of approximately 100,000.

In the spirit of Gunnison's western history we all hope you will make yourself comfortable.  Walk around the rodeo grounds; say hi to the cowboys and cowgirls, your neighbors or a smiling face and experience being part of the heritage and history of Cattlemen's Days.

Let 'er Buck !
