On behalf of the
Cattlemen's Days Rodeo committee, Gunnison County, City of Gunnison and
our many "pardners" (sponsors), it is a great pleasure to invite you to
our 108th Cattlemen's Days Rodeo and Race Meet. Our ten-day celebration of western heritage will feature three Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) rodeos, horse and livestock shows, horse racing, local team roping and barrel racing as well as a street parade, carnival and live music at many local establishments. |
| We have retained the 2004, '05, '06, and '07 stock contractor of the year,
Stace Smith who once again will provide livestock and entertainment as the
"Greatest Show On Dirt". Our specialty act will be Tim "Wild Thang" Lepord
and The Ghost Rider's, Americas # 1 Team. New to our lineup this year is a 7:00 PM rodeo on Saturday, July 12 instead of an afternoon performance. This year we have also teamed up with the PRCA to be included in the 2008 Heartland Rodeo Series. Again we are increasing our prize money and incentives to draw the best rodeo cowboys and cowgirls. We will continue our "Tough Enough To Wear Pink" Thursday night rodeo on July 10th and we will once again pledge a portion of the admission to our local campaign to prevent, detect and treat breast cancer. Cattlemen's Days "Tough Enough To Wear Pink" rodeo for the past two years has been the #1 rodeo in the nation for raising money for breast cancer awareness and education For myself, the Cattlemen's Days Committee men and women and our local and national sponsors we would like to invite you to a 108 year tradition.
