Queen
TeaLa Danielle Mears

Howdy everyone my name is TeaLa Danielle Mears. I am a 17 year old 5th generation Gunnison native. I am very proud to be Cattlemen's Day Queen 2011. I have dreamed of this since I was 7 years old riding my 'lil' black pony in the parade and grand entry. Horses are my life. I have been riding since I was a week old and showing since I was a year old. This will be my 10th year showing horses through the 4-H program. Also I have been on the 4-H horse judging team for 9 years and the FFA horse judging team for 2 years. I graduated from Gunnison High School this year and I am planning on taking a year off so I can continue working on my horsemanship skills under the watchful eye of Johnny Leverett. After that year I am planning on going to NJC in Sterling, CO to study equine management and equine science. Another one of my goals is to try out for Miss Rodeo Colorado. I have had fun representing Cattlemen's Days so far and I’m looking forward to being involved in all the activity's from the Kick off Dinner to the races.

Queens Attendant
   Josey Spencer

Hi, my name is Josey Spencer. I am very excited and honored to be your 2011 Cattlemen's Days Princess. My roots run deep in western heritage as I am a fifth generation horsewoman and rancher. I am a member of the Country Clovers 4-H club, this is my second year as their president and my sixth year in 4-H. I am in 8th grade this year, and I love to play volleyball, basketball, hockey and gymnastics. This spring is my first season participating in Colorado Junior High Rodeo Association. I spend the spring and summer months working with my dad, riding our horses on Mill Creek Ranch. On the ranch, we work the cattle, move them through the mountain pastures and ride through the beautiful Gunnison country. In school, my favorite subjects are Math, Science, and English. I plan to go to college, and receive a medical degree to become a surgeon. Last summer, I qualified for Youth World and Open World National Barrel Horse finals, which I am very proud of. I hope you have a chance to enjoy all the events that Gunnison County Cattlemen's Days has to offer and I look forward to seeing you there.

Jr. Miss
Kelly Mundell

Hi! My name is Kelly Mundell. I am the 12 year old daughter of Don and Sue Mundell.   I am very proud to be Cattlemen's Days Junior Miss for 2011.

Cattlemen's Days is a very big part of my life. I love growing up around it. I love Cattlemen's Days because it is very fun and upbeat. I would have to say my favorite part about Cattlemen's Days would be the rodeos.  My favorite event is the very last one, bull riding.

I am in 4-H and have a horse, steer, and sewing project. My favorite sport is dancing which I do all kinds, and it brings me happiness.  Cattlemen's Days always brings joy to me because I know that I get to show my animals and projects to everyone I know. Al so just being able to spend time with all of my friends and having a good time.  Oh yes, don't forget the carnival.

I would like to thank my sister for all of the support, and everything in life throughout the years, my parents for everything all of the time, and everyone that has helped with anything in my life. Thank You Again!
