Hello rodeo fans and welcome to the 119th Cattlemen’s Days here in the beautiful Gunnison Valley! My name is Taylor Watters and I am the 2019 Cattlemen’s Days Queen. I am the daughter of Jess Watters and Brenda Wiseman. Currently I am attending Western Colorado University. I have yet to declare my major but I think that I will be pursuing a business degree with a minor in accounting. I was born and raised in Gunnison and I am proud to call it home. As a 4th generation in the Gunnison Valley, I am honored to be able to represent such an amazing community and rodeo. Throughout high school I was involved in FFA, cheerleading, the Bad Girls Barrel Club and choir. I was also selected for a directors choice choir my senior year. I have been involved in 4-H since I was 6. This was my last year and I am grateful for all of the opportunities that were brought my way. I have showed cashmere goats since I was 6, Shetland sheep for 3 years, market goats for the last 3 years and I showed horses for 3 years. I would like to thank the Cattlemen’s Days Committee and the sponsors of the 2019 Cattlemen’s Days royalty. I look forward to meeting everyone this summer!
Hi, my name is Aspen McNulty; I am the 2019 Cattlemen’s Days Princess. I am 13 years old and I have lived in Gunnison my whole life. I am the daughter of Ivy and Seth McNulty, and sister of Timber McNulty. I like to spend time with my family; we have a Sunday funday every weekend. We ride horses, go hiking, biking, skiing or just hang out playing a game. Family time is important to my family and I. When I have free time, I like to ride my horses Red and my new horse Cedar, hang out with friends and of course my brother, play with my dog Marley, read, play sports and take care of my animals. I go to Gunnison Middle School; I am currently getting ready to go into 8th grade. I am also an all year-round athlete; I participate in Cross Country, Basketball, Gymnastics, and Track. This past year I was a member of the Gunnison Middle School SLC (Student Leadership Club) Team and the Secretary of the Country Clovers 4-H Club. I really enjoy doing 4-H; currently I am doing 1st year Market Swine project, 2nd year Market Goat project and 5th year Horse project. I was the 2017 Cattlemen’s Days Jr. Miss and I enjoy representing the Gunnison Community. In 2019 I look forward to traveling to other communities to represent Gunnison, Cattlemen’s Days and other events. I hope to see you and yours during Gunnison’s great rodeo and fair this summer. – Aspen
